DEADLINE for Submission of proposals:
Postmarked by or on Friday, February 6th, 2009

To submit a proposal, please fill out the DSA 2009 Proposal Application, or go online at www.DeafSeniors.com. Click on DSA2009.com and select "Workshop" from the left-hand side of the menu, then click on "Presentation Proposal Form".

No Waiver of Costs: The presenters are responsible for their own travel and conference fees. DSA 2009 is not able to waive any conference registration costs, or pay for travel or honorarium fees for presenters.

Selection: The DSA 2009 Program Committee and I will select proposals that demonstrate the greatest potential for contributing to the overall quality of the conference.

Proposal Acceptance: Presenters will be notified of acceptance by February 27th, 2009. You will receive additional information, forms, registration and fee amounts due; these must be completed to finalize scheduling of your presentation, panel, seminar or workshop. Once the fee is paid and forms have been completed, you will receive final confirmation of your presentation, panel, workshop and seminar date including time and place.

Fee: There is a one-time fee requested for each presenter involved in the workshops. If you are a non-profit organization, the fee will be $50. If you are a corporation, the fee is $100. The fee is payable once your proposal has been accepted. Please do not send any monies until you have received an acceptance letter.

This fee has been requested to help us cover expenses that result from using the workshop rooms.  No matter how many sessions you conduct, there is only one fee per presenter. Please let me know how many sessions you want to participate in so we can plan for the rooms ahead of time. (I will be working closely with the Registration Coordinator for those who are interested in participating in several different daily activities during the DSA conference week.)  Again, It is not required that you pay the registration fees, but we are asking for your help to make this convention a huge success. If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. The DSA Team is extremely thankful for your enthusiastic support and consideration of this request.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me without any hesitation.
